I wish to join the civil services: Rishikanta

The topper of this year's HSLC exam, Ningthoujam Rishikanta Singh of Kwakeithel Soibam Leikai is hoping to enter the civil services after clearing the UPSC exams.
In an interview with Hueiyen Lanpao, Rishikanta said that he had always secured top positions.
He said that the secret of his success lay in giving full attention to the lessons taught by his teachers and to regularly attend private tuitions.
If classes were attended regularly, then with the extra knowledge one earns from private tuitions, there was no need for giving extra attention in reading, Rishikanta said.
Both Rishikanta's parents are government employees.
His father N Manimohon is a Deputy Commandant in the 2nd Manipur Rifles and his mother, Memton, is an employee of the Social Welfare Department.
He is the youngest of four siblings.
He has two sisters and a brother.
He credited his success to his parents and teachers.
His family is planning to send him to Delhi for further study but there were apprehension of missing admission to a good school as the declaration of the exam was a bit delayed.
