Signature campaign on to demand regular power supply

With a view to enable the students to study under electric light while preparing for their upcoming Matric and Higher Secondary Examinations, All Manipur Students' Guardians' Organisation (AMSGO) has demanded regular supply of electricity and started a signature campaign to file a case in this regard.
Announcing this during a press conference at its at Palace Compound office today, Advisor of AMSGO N Tomba said that in view of the coming Matric and Higher Secondary Examination, the organization has requested the Electricity Department ensure regular supply of electricity.
It has also started a signature campaign of all the students to file a case in the court if the Electricity department fails to comply with the demand.
He further appealed to the Electricity department to halt its drive of disconnecting the power line of consumers who failed to clear their due taxes, and suggested that the drive could commence after the examinations are over.
He also pointed out that the results Matric and Higher Secondary examination should be declared early so that the students do not face any problems in getting admission to schools and colleges of their desire.
O Yaima, General Secretary of All Manipur Students' Guardians' Organisation, was also present and addressed the press meet.
