Senapati District Consumers' Club campaigns against price hike

Denouncing price hike of essential commodities in the market, the Senapati District Consumers' Club under District Supply Officer (DSO), Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Senapati conducted a campaign against price hike at Senapati bazaar and its surrounding areas today.
Addressing the public through loud speaker, president Senapati District Consumers' Club, D Maryna stated that as per the order issued by the Governor of Manipur on April 24, prices were fixed both for wholesale rate and retail of all essential commodities.
She appealed to all the shop owners of the district headquarters to not hike the price of essential commodities in view of the pandemic and warned that the district consumers' club would be compelled to take stern action against any defaulter.
The rate for all essential commodities were distributed to all grocery shops.
The district consumers' club have been campaigning against price hike at various places in the DHQs.
D Maryna further urged the public to refrain from buying any commodity without knowing the actual price and refer to the price list that had been distributed by the club.
The campaign was accompanied by District Consumers' Club, officials of CAF&PD, Senapati, District Police and media persons.
