SK Oil for Ukhrul missing, TNL fumes, demands actions

Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) on Monday demanded the Government to arrest the culprits involved in siphoning off SK oil from the Ukhrul district failing which they threatened to launch various forms of agitations and approach at the Union Ministry of Petroleum.
Talking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club on Monday, TNL President Weapon Zimik alleged that SK oil was siphoned off by M/s ZV Nepolean agency for the months of October and December.
He said that the allocated kerosene for the people of Ukhrul district was diverted by an employee of the oil agency in Ukhrul in connivance with the higher up.
He further told the reporters that proprietor of ZV Napoleon Oil Agency, ZV Kahangpam, had charged his grandson, V.Horling Zinik and his accomplice Phurailatpam Jotin Sharma of Uripok Huidrom Leikai to distribute kerosene to the people of the district.
He alleged that M/s ZV Napoleon Oil Agency, Ukhrul district, had not distributed kerosene to the people between October-December 2014.Between these months, altogether 48 KL of SK oil disappeared without ever reaching the district.
It alleged that the Office of FCS department, Ukhrul gave UC permit to Horling Zimik and Phurailatpam Jotin Sharma.
He urged the authority concerned to look into the matter and take up appropriate action against the duo.
In January 2015, out of 24 kilolitre of kerosene allocated to the district, only 12 KL reached the district.
A complaint was made against M/s ZV Napoleon Oil Agency on January 6 in this connection.
The government officials visited the district on February 17 to inspect the records of M/s ZV Napoleon Oil Agency.
It was kept under lock and key by the trader..
The godown was therefore sealed by the officials, President said.
Weapon further alleged that SK oil which is meant for the public of Ukhrul district was unloaded and stored at a godown located near Iroisemba Zoo, Imphal.
TNL has submitted memorandum to the DC Ukhrul and other officials to take up necessary actions against the duo and demanded to recover the missing 48 Kilolitres oil.
If this is not done the TNL threatened to file PIL and approach the Union Ministry of Petroleum.
The agency has stopped the distribution of oil from February onwards.
But the government sanction order was again issued to the Agency on April 9 for distribution of 36 KL oil.
He alleged that FCS department was full of corrupt elements from top to bottom.
