Chinjak Festival concludes

The 10-day long Chinjak Festival (III) organised by the Innovative Youth Society in association with the department of Tourism, Government of Manipur concluded today at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen prmises, Palace Compound with indigenous fervour and tastes.
The food festival which witnessed the participation of seven Asian countries was formally closed by KK Chhetry, Commissioner of Tourism.
Notably, the longest green salad attempt, as a part of the festival, has a very high chance of making it to the Limca Book of Record.
Best participant of the year award Kanglei Street Chinjak Award 2012 was begged by Leishangthem Tonthoingambi Devi for producing and promoting Phormon Phola.
The award carries a cash reward of Rs 2000 .
The festival came to an end with the anticipation to meet again at the Sangai Festival, 2012 .
