JACs join hands

The JAC constituted against the gang rape of a a housewife by four men including two IRB personnel and the committee constituted in connection with the brutal murder of Keisham Premila at Kakching Mahadeva hills have joined together to launch a unified mass movement.
Speaking to media persons at NIPCO office this afternoon, Chongtham (O) Usharani who have been appointed as common spokesperson of the two JACs said that both the JACs were constituted against crimes committed on women and they have similar demands.
Major demands of the two JACs are execution of all the culprits involved in crimes against women by hanging them to death in public places and enactment of an effective legislation to control crimes against women.
The two JACs have joined hands and made all preparations to launch a unified mass movement and press the Government to fulfil these two demands at the earliest.
Already, many civil organisations of the State have assured unstinted support to the proposed mass movement, claimed Usharani.
She further appealed to all the people to extend full support to the protest movement lined up by the two JACs.
