Four top NSCN (IM) leaders held

Four top leaders of the NSCN(IM) were reportedly apprehended by troops of Assam Rifles in separate operations in Senapati and Ukhrul districts, highly reliable sources said today.
A deputy secretary and two under secretaries of the outfit were reportedly detained by troops of 5 AR at Karong in Senapati district today around 11 am while the 17 AR nabbed a major of the same outfit at Awang Kasom of Ukhrul district around noon, the sources said.
Deputy secretary Mahai Raikhan (39) son of Late Manglam Raikhan of Nungshang village was detained by the troops of 11 AR at Karong village along with two under secretaries of the outfit, Tuisem Ranra Shimray (40) son of Nelson Ranra Shimray of Ngainga village and Abraham Shaziina (35) son of Thaizii Shaziina of Phuba village.
They were detained with two Alto brand cars, MN03P-2356 and MN06L-3980, the source said adding that no other recoveries were made from the trio.
Meanwhile, a self styled Major of the NSCN (IM) was reportedly nabbed by troops of 17 Assam Rifles from Awang Kasom (Ngouri) village under Chingai police station of Ukhrul district today.
A pistol and three radio sets were recovered from him, the source said.
The source said that the 'Major' identified as Jacob of TM Kasom village under Litan PS of the same district was apprehended by the troops during an operation launched in the village today around noon today.
