Don Bosco relic arrives in Tamenglong

IN A SIGNIFICANT way the Past Pupils of Don Bosco School Tamenglong and Mary Help of Christians Parish Tamenglong received warm welcome to the relic of St Don Bosco here this afternoon today.
On the way to the district HQs traditional welcome accord to the Casket of Don Bosco in numbers of gates.
In the Casket body fiber with the bones of right hand of Don Bosco was kept in the chest cavity.
It is preparation for the 200th birth anniversary of the great Saint.
This pilgrim journey will bring blessing to all.
This was stated by Fr Jose Palely Sdb, who is the incharged to look after the transportation while talking to the reporter on the side of reception programe at Don Bosco School Tamenglong complex.
He said that the relic of Don Bosco is visiting all over world where ever the Don Bosco family is working.
In this pilgrimage to India, Manipur is the first state and also visiting the most backward district of the state today, he said.
'This is very rare thing and another chance may not come again.
I am sure the visit will bring great blessing to the general people this district and the youth in particular as Don Bosco is the Father and Teacher of youth', Fr Palely Sdb said.
The relic was accompanied by three foreigners Mr Ivan Jonin, Mr Picvangdo Faletti and Mr Dello Prite Luigi from Italy.
On reaching Manipur again the relic was accompany by Catholic Fathers and Past Pupils of Don Bosco School Tamenglong.
In its journey to Tamenglong, people everywhere gathered to pay homage and respect to the great educator Father and Friend of youth, Saint John Bosco.
On reaching Kahulong (Akhui AR check Post) convoys of bikes and vehicles accompany the relic of St.
Don Bosco and were welcome with traditional howling by elders of Old Tamenglong (Khunjao) at district HQs.
Hundreds of Don Bosco School students with small flags stand nearly half kilometer from Tamenglong Autonomous District Council to Don Bosco School Tamenglong guided by Bharat Scouts and Guides.
Hundreds of Catholic flocked to venerate Saint Don Bosco when arrived at Don Bosco School Tamenglong.
Holy Eucharist and night vigil will continue till 12 midnight.
The relic of Don Bosco will be leaving for Imphal early morning tomorrow for special welcome programe and will visit to other district and other North East states.
Saint Don Bosco was born on 16 August 1815 and expired in the year 1888 on 31 January.
