CorCom claims responsibility

Imphal, August 16, 2012:
Coordination Committee (CorCom) of seven revolutionary organisations of Manipur (KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF and UPPK) has claimed responsibility for the serial bomb blasts that took place in different parts of the state on Indian Independence Day yesterday.
In a statement signed by its Media Coordinator, H Poirei, CorCom stated that the first bomb was exploded at Thoubal Mela Ground at 7.30 am, while the others were triggered near Sagolband Meino Thong (9.00 am), Khurai Telipati (9.30 am) and Mongbahanba (Mahabali) at 10.30 am.
It further stated that the bomb blasts were carried out as part of the boycott of the Indian Independence Day which is being observed in the state with an aim to amalgamate the tradition and cultures of the state into the Indian Nationality.
CorCom also expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their support and cooperation in the General Strike called by revolutionary organisations of the North East states to boycott the Indian independence day.
