Three BIPL workers abducted; KIK, KTC appeal for safe release

Kangpokpi, March 06 2019:
Kidnapping and abduction resurface again in Kangpokpi District as some group of persons allegedly cadres of NSCN (Reformation) group abducted three workers of Bhartia Infra Pvt Ltd engaging in the road construction work along NH-2, reportedly at around 1 am early this morning.
The incident was reportedly occurred in between Kangpokpi DHQs and Changoubung village when some unknown persons allegedly of NSCN(R), who came on a white Gypsy (bearing no Regd no), frisked away the three workers.
The three abducted BIPL worker have been identified as Amuchou alias Gopal, Bijoy and Temba.
Meanwhile, Kuki Inpi (KIK) Kangpokpi District and Kangpokpi Town Committee (KTC) have strongly condemned the incident of abduction and demand safe release of the abducted trio on humanitarian ground at the earliest in the interest of peace and welfare of the people.
Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi District also cautioned of intenses agitation if the trio are not release at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Kangpokpi Town Committee while condemning the incident strongly, expressed its endorsement on stand taken by the Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi District and the CSOs.
A case has been registered at Kangpokpi Police Station in connection with the incident of abduction.
