Imphal, September 03 2012:
HERICOUN has urged the authority concerned to institute an enquiry into the controversial death of Ngangom (O) Renubala of Loushangkhong Makha Leikai.
Speaking to media persons at their office today, HERICOUN general secretary Islam Makakcha said that the death of Renubala during child delivery at JNIMS on August 30 was a very
sad incident.
Family members of Renubala have been contending that she died due to negligence on the part of the hospital and the attending doctors.
The Government should institute a proper enquiry and punish the doctors concerned and staff in case they are found guilty.
All patients have deep respect for doctors.
Even if doctors cannot cure all the diseases, they are morally bound to treat all patients with care and responsibility, Islam Makakcha asserted.
On the other hand, Dr Leishangthem Chandramani while talking with TSE said that they have been investigating into the controversial death of Renubala.
