ADC Sadar Hills Councillor kicks off MESS children camp at Sanakeithel

Kangpokpi, October 09 2019: The annual children camp cum sports meet 2019 of Model English School Sanakeithel in Ukhrul District kicked off today at Sanakeithel village bordering Lhungtin sub-division in Kangpokpi District.

The event was graced by Thangkam Lupheng, member and spokesperson of ADC Sadar Hills, who is also the alumni of the school as chief guest while Ch Iboyaima, ASO of BOSEM and ZV Canon, Headman of Sanakeithel village attended as guest of honour and special guest respectively.

Child Evangelist from Mizoram, Bethlehem attended as the main speaker of the children camp.

ADC Sadar Hills member, Thangkam Lupheng inaugurated the 'Children Camp cum Sports Meet' by hoisting the flag after Rev Ngamrei Hungyo, Pastor SKBC opened the function with invocation prayer which was followed by display of various literary and traditional shows by the students.

In his welcome and introductory speech, V Khamrang, Principal MESS thanked all the dignitaries, guests, invitees, area village leaders and church leaders, parents and guardian while highlighting the main purposes of the camp and also presented gifts and mementos to the dignitaries and guests.

Thangkam Lupheng, the ADC Sadar Hills Councillor, while addressing the gathering, expressed sincere gratitude to the school authority, Principal and staffs for their unending love and remembering him on such auspicious day of the school.

The ADC Sadar Hills Councillor also recalled his schooling days at the school which according to him is a mixture of both happiness and emotional in the reunion of former teachers and students of the school while praising the school Principal and authority for maintaining the tradition of annual school function every year since its establishment in 1970 till today.

Encouraging the student community, the ADC Sadar Hills spokesperson advised the students to maintain two important things in their student life - discipline and hard work.

He continued that they (the students community) must maintain strict discipline and also work hard to achieve their goals and also shared parent's responsibilities towards their children in mouldings their career.

The ADC Sadar Hills member also donated some amount for the management of the school annual function.

The guest of honour and special guest also have a brief speech during the function thanking the school authority while extending monetary assistance towards the annual event.

The inaugural ceremony of the annual 'Children Camp cum Sports Meet' culminated with a vote of thanks from Ramkhayei, School Board member with benediction prayer from R Ngaraipam, Headman of Sanakeithel village authority.
