Ukhrul denizens indulge in lavish picnic parties

With the winter season fast approaching, October is a recreational outing time for picnic in Ukhrul district, a beautiful hill station with lots of picnic spots surrounding the town.
The denizens of Ukhrul district craze for picnic sessions with their families, friends and loved ones as, right after the retreat of monsoon rain, the weather becomes pleasant with the gentle October wind.
It may be mentioned that the beautiful hill slope has many scenic site such as Duncan park, Shirui hill, Phangrei, Nilai tea estate, Nungshung Kong, Nayi, Posaitrung etc.
While interacting with some of the people at the some of the famous picnickers, a mother of three, Burnice Siro said that she has spent at least Rs 5000 for a picnic programme and added that the outing has become an annual family programme which has brought beautiful memories apart from adding new and indespensible moments every time her family gather for the annual get together/picnic.
She went on to mention that her children feels excited and their minds are freshened after they go for trekking at the hill slope.
Serving them with hot food after several exhausting but fun activities is very significant and a divine approach in building a strong bond and closeness among family members.
Meanwhile, a youth from Viewland, Ukhrul town Rinngayai Hongray said that she spent over Rs 500-Rs 800 for chips/eatables for every picnic programme.
She said she don't want to miss autumn picnic programmes as it is the time to meet her friends, mingle and share new stories, make plans and talk about life, problems, happy moments etc.
Ukhrul denizens does not hesitate to spent any amount of money for the autumn picnic season just to experience that valuable time with the family members and loved ones, before the harvest season arrives.
