Book culprits without further delay: JAC

The JAC against the killing of Ahmed Ali alias Babu has urged the authority concerned to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the brutal killing of Ahmed Ali alias Babu.
Addressing media persons today at Taj Hotel, Hatta, convener of the JAC, Md Rajauddin said that it is to the knowledge of the police and the public that Md Matlip (Amu), Kh Brojen and some cohorts were involved in the killing of Ahmed Ali alias Babu, a school teacher from Keirao Makting.
However, they are yet to be booked.
He asked what is holding back the police in arresting the accused.
Rajauddin said that Ahmed Ali alias Babu was killed by Md Matlip in collaboration with his family members.
Muslim Council Manipur (MCM) general secretary, Arafat Ali urged the authority concerned to book the culprits at the earliest.
The press meet was also attended by representatives of All Manipur Muslim Coordination Committee (AMMCOC) and Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation.
It may be mentioned that Ahmed Ali alias Babu, headmaster of a Government school was lynched on the charge of cattle theft on Nov 2 at Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal East district under Irilbung police station.
