Counting measures for the 10th Assembly election

In view of the counting of votes for the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections, entry of vehicles will not be allowed on Porompat Baruni Road with effect from 4 am of March 6 till the counting is over.
The entire vehicular traffic would be blocked at Ayangpalli crossing on the western side and near the gate of the DC office on the eastern side, said an order issued by Imphal East DC, who is also the District Election Officer.
Vehicles will not be allowed to enter Porompat Baruni Road by passing through in front of the SP office as well.
However, candidates, candidate agents and all officers and staff holding identity cards issued by the Returning Officers, DEO, CEO and ECI will be allowed to enter after proper frisking by the police.
Vehicles with car passes must be parked at Employment office complex, Porompat, added the order.
