Save Govt schools campaign launched

All Kangleipak Students' Union (AKSU) launched a Save Government Schools campaign at Upper Primary School in Heirok pt-II today.
AKSU maintained that the campaign will be held at all the Government schools in each districts while appealing all to extend their cooperation and support.
A press release issued by publicity secretary, AKSU stated that the students studying in Government schools of Heirok are facing immense grievances owing to the absence of SSA and RMSA teachers, who are presently taking part in the cease work strike.
The statement alleged that the local teachers have been transferred to other places while those who are posted at the Government schools in Heirok are all SSA and RMSA teachers who are again taking up the strike against the Government The young students along with their guardians staged a sit in protest in front of the school and shouted many slogans.
Similar protest was carried out at Heirok part II Mayai Leikai Upper Primary School, it added.
