Power Minister assures artificial hand

Power Minister Th Biswajit has assured that an artificial hand would be fitted to the two year old girl whose right hand has been amputated after she received electric shock.
Raising a call attention motion about the incident which took place at Chelep village, Tengnoupal district on February 6, D Korungthang said that the girl suffered critical shock as she accidentally came into contact with an unfenced power transformer.
Even though the girl was taken to RIMS, her right hand had to be amputated.
He also expressed keen desire for the Government to extend monetary aid to the family of the kid.
Responding to the call attention motion, Th Biswajit maintained that even as some officials were sent to extend some financial aid to the family of the kid, the family refused to accept any aid out of anger, Biswajit said.
He said that due process has been initiated to fence all unfenced power transformers.
He informed the House that an compensation of Rs 50,000 has been given to the family of the kid.
