Teachers Workshop organised at Chandel

Chandel, June 15 2018: District Council Administration, Chandel organised a Workshop for teachers of Chandel, Tengnoupal, Machi, Khengjoi, and Moreh Blocks in Chandel District under the Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandel at Monsang Pantha Community Hall today.

Lhukhosei Zou chairman, Autonomous District Council, Chandel, Tongsin Willingson, executive member (EDN & PHED) Autonomous District Council, Chandel, Th Joy Lamkang, vice chairman ADC Chandel and Sh Manglem Monsang, member ADC Chandel attended the occasion as chief guest, functional president and special guests respectively.

Ng Esha John, Inspector-II and K Ginie Deputy Inspector of School attended the programme as moderator.

The programme commenced after H Melison AI pronounced the invocation prayer.

Inspector TK Moshilpha delivered the welcome address.

During the workshop, resource persons Dr Christina Mahainim Assistant Professor, Department of English, United College, Chandel spoke on the topic - "Emergence of Teachers Declining Roles in the System of Education, its Impact to the Students" and Th Brojen Singh, Headmaster (State Awardee) Wabagai Tera Urak Government High School spoke on "Lack of Moral Responsibility with Special Reference to Government Teachers, its Outcome and Social Impact to the Stakeholders".

While speaking at the function, Lhukhosei Zou chairman, ADC Chandel said that the role and responsibility of the teachers is indeed great and vast in building a good Nation.

If we want a good nation, we need a good teachers.

Teachers are a role model for the students who are the future pillars of the Nation, he said.

Teachers should not forget that they are the builders of the Nation and must work with dedication, he added.

Appealing the teachers to be dedicated in their duties, the chairman urged all concerned working under the District Council to work wholeheartedly in bringing development in every aspect including education.

More than 500 teachers including Assistant Inspectors of School T Shangranmoi and M Medun attended the workshop.

Meanwhile, Autonomous District Council Chandel had conducted a workshop programme for Headmasters at Monsang Pantha Community Hall yesterday.

Tongsin Willingson, executive member (EDN & PHED) Autonomous District Council, Chandel and Daryal Juli Anal, MCS chief executive officer, ADC Chandel attended the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

During the workshop, resource persons KL Warson Anal, Principal Chakpikarong Government Higher Secondary School spoke on the topic "Prospect of Quality Management in Educational Administration and Planning of School".

Deputy Inspector of Schools Renie Wanglar, L Yampu Baite and Assistant Inspector of Schools Kh Standhope and Mina Nula also attended the workshop.
