ZUF warns of stern action

Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has claimed that they caught an NSCN-IM cadre namely Robinson of Khumji/Lukhambi village when he was collecting tax in Noney (Longmai) area on November 25 last.
However, on humanitarian ground, no stern action was taken against him but asked him to stop such acts, said a statement issued by ZUF/ZTF information and publicity secretary A Dangmei.
If he continues the same act in future, the ZUF/ZTF would not show him any mercy but deal with serious befitting action, the statement added.
On other hand, those who mingle with him or NSCN-IM cadres in the area would also be given the same punishment, it added.
In another incident, ZUF/ZTF also caught one informer namely D Magangmei w/o Maheising Dangmei from Gaidimjang village, Khoupum Sub-Division, Tamenglong district on November 26 .
During interrogation, she confessed that she has been providing information to the Army since past many months.
As per her statement, the Indian army provides ration items such as atta, sugar, mustard oil etc to lure them, added the statement.
She begged the ZUF/ZTF that she would not continue such activities in future.
If she continues such activities in future, the woman would be penalized with stern action, the statement cautioned.
Her companions would also be called for explanation immediately, the statement said and added that appropriate action would be taken if found guilty.
