NSCN K boycotted

The public convention of the Zeliangrong people on August 28 at Longmai has decided that no individuals, villages or organisations of Zeliangrong/Inpui communities should give cooperation or support or tax or any assistance to the NSCN (K) with immediate effect.
The convention further decided that any eventuality or situation arising out of the decision should be the responsibility of the NSCN (K) while also resolving that any one who go against the public decision should be penalised and fined as per Zeliangrong/Inpui customary tradition.
These are among the nine-point decision reached at the Zeliangrong public convention at Longmai, according to a joint statement issued by the AZSU (AMN), ZYF (AMN) and ZSUM.
The public convention was convened against the backdrop of the killing of Chunthuigai Kamei, the general secretary of ZSUM by the NSCN (K).
Among others the resolutions included those cadres of NSCN (K) from Zeliangrong communities are not related to the Zeliangrong/Inpui people; to explore possible ways and means to ensure justice and prevent the recurrence of such incidents; to boycott any people from the community who defiance the public resolution.
It also resolved that any Naga national party/groups should not accept and enroll any cadre/ex-cadre who are rejected by the Naga people and Zeliangrong/Inpui people in particular; to stricly enforce the public resolutions; to convene a meeting of social organisations at tamenglong, Nungba, Tamei, Tousem and other Zeliangrong and Inpui inhabited areas and to stop killing and bloodshed to the civilian, public leaders, organisation leaders etc by various Naga revolutionary groups in future.
