The persons who were allegedly assaulted are Khundrakpam Ibobi (50), Kh (o) Babita Devi (45), Kh Sushitra Devi (25) and Kh Venus (18) of Khangabok Cherapur Khunou.
Of the four people, Kh Sushitra is bedridden as she had lost consciousness.

Speaking to media persons during a press conference held at the home of the 'victim family', Kh (o) Babita Devi stated that the 'ugly' episode happened in front of village representatives and local people on June 7 last.
"We were regularly targeted by them for a land-related issue," she said and added that her son and a daughter were admitted to hospital after the incident.
