Food poisoning

Altogether 30 people are currently undergoing treatment at JNIMS for food poisoning suspected to have been caused by consumption of imported fish.
A prayer fellowship of the Manipur Pastoral Fellowship was held at Nungshithoiraba Church, Ghari on June 13.The event was attended by around 70 people and they had a grand feast.
Hill Area Committee Chairman MLA Dr Chaltonlien Amo also took part in the event.
Soon after the participants reached home, many of them felt abdominal pain apart from vomiting.
They also suffered from loose motion.
All of them were taken to JNIMS.
At present, 30 of them are undergoing treatment there.
Dr Chaltonlien Amo who also partook the feast showed similar symptoms, said one Pastor on condition of anonymity.
The fishes cooked for the feast were imported ones bought from Kwakeithel.
It is suspected that 30 of the participants fell ill because of the fish they partook at the event.
The Pastor also sought immediate attention of the Government.
The event was participated by Pastors of Churachandpur and the four valley districts of the State.
