Veterinary dispensary inaugurated at Chahnou village in Churachandpur

A new veterinary dispensary was inaugurated yesterday at Chahnou village in Churachandpur's Singngat sub-division satiating the decade old need of the area whose economy was greatly dependent animal farming.
The dispensary was formally inaugurated by Dr Saidokum Zoute, Jt Director (Vety), Churachandpur in a simple function yet handsomely attended the locals.
Over twenty village chiefs of the area that is located at about 15 kms west of Singngat sub-divisional hqtrs attended the function with a huge number of villagers, underlining their amusement in witnessing a rare government initiative in their locality.
About half a dozen villages located adjoining to Chahnou village has rear animals, mainly cows and buffalos to supplement their income but their lack of technical expertise to tackle even a minor disease has resulted in many of their animals dying each year.
The institution of the veterinary dispensary will save our animals in future and in doing so it will bolster of economy as well, Seikhopao, chief of Chahnou said.
