RPF greets on Lui-Ngai-Ni festival

The proscribed RPF has greeted the Naga people of Manipur on the festive occasion of the seed-sowing festival Lui-Ngai-Ni.
The seed sowing festival celebrated to propitiate the Almighty for a good harvest next season is also one significant festival for different groups of Naga people to preserve and promote their traditions and cultures.
It also provides an opportunity to the scattered Naga people for get-together and cultural exchange, the outfit remarked in a press release issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba.
"Our culture, tradition and history are clear testimonies of the fact that our forefathers were never dependent on imported food", it observed.
The legacy of Lui-Ngai-Ni inherited from the industrious ancestors may multiply the diligence of Nagas and all indigenous people.
The outfit further wished that the Lui-Ngai-Ni festival may restore peace, security and mutual love amongst the Nagas as well as among all indigenous people of the land.
