National seminar begins

A three-day national seminar on 'Spirituality in Education: Contemporary Relevance' organised by Philosophy Department, DM College of Arts commenced from today at the College auditorium with former Professor of Philosophy and Dean of humanities (MU) Prof S Shyamkishore Singh, DMC Arts Principal Dr A Nungshitombi Devi and HoD Economics Dept (DMC Arts) M Ibohal Singh gracing the inauguration programme as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The seminar is being held under the sponsorship of Indian Council of Philosophy Research, New Delhi.
In his address, Prof (retd) Shyamkishore pointed out that spirituality is an inseparable component of the learning process for both the teacher and the taught.
He urged the participants to capitalise on the opportunity provided by the seminar to enhance their knowledge base.
speaking at the occasion, Dr Nungshitombi observed as philosophy is crucial for every human being understanding the subject would be helpful to all concerned.
