Differently abled persons encouraged on World Disabled Day

The Cradle for Disabled Union (CRAFDU), Imphal East has today organised World Disabled Day and reached out disables with edible items at Yairipok Tulihal Awang Leikai.
The programme was attended by K Inaocha Devi, Tulihal ZP Member and president of Mahila; Md Riyajuddin Shah, chairman of CRAFDU; Md Abdul Khalique, Pradhan of Tulihal GP; Md Ibosana, president of AMMOCOC; president of ATUCO, Md Nayajuddin Syed and social activist Md Abdul Rajaque as presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function', K Inaocha Devi said that all human beings are equal and ought to live by supporting one another.
Differently abled persons have god gifted skills and abilities that enable them perform exceptional feats which a normal person finds hard or cannot achieve, she continued while adding that they should never be looked down.
"Let us all assist them in achieving an equitable social status by ensuring them the benefits through various schemes introduced by the State and the Central Government," she added.
Md Riyauddin, while addressing the gathering said that differently abled persons have tremendous role and contribution in ushering an equitable and developed society.
Thus it should be the responsibility of all to encourage and provide them employment opportunities depending on their skills and abilities, he continued.
Items including rice, dal, towel and others were handed out to differently abled persons as a mark of respect and encouragement during the function.
