Class XII compartmental exam

Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) has declared the Class XII compartmental examination today.
COHSEM Secretary Maisnam Bidyasagar said that a total of 3932 students appeared in the examination.
Out of which only 3042 could get through the examination registering a pass percentage of 77.37 per cent.
The Secretary said that this year recorded the lowest pass percentage when compared with the results of the past two years.
He further said that the Council tried its level best to declare the examination as soon as possible considering the academic calendar of the Council and different colleges.
Saying that results for the comparmental examination is normally declared in the early part of June every year, Bidyasagar said that the examination could not be declared on time due to the prevailing situation of the State.
COHSEM staff deserve appreciation for declaring the examination within June despite having different constraints, he said.
In the Arts stream, 820 candidates including 757 regular, 58 casual and five private candidates enrolled for the examination out of which 722 passed the examination registering a pass percentage of 89.36 pc.
In the Science stream, 3051 candidates including 2753 regular and 298 casual candidates enrolled for the examination out of which 2256 candidates got through registering a pass percentage of 75.05 pc.
In the Commerce stream, 121 candidates including 107 regular and 14 casual candidates appeared in the examination out of which 64 candidates passed the examination registering a pass percentage of 54.24 pc.
