With NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah arriving late tonight from the Netherlands, Nagas living in New Delhi have started pouring in to the RKPuram area to gether at Nagaland House, New Delhi where documentary films on the Nagas have been screened since 6.30 this evening.
A big dinner has also been arranged at the Nagaland House for the Nagas and well wishers who are taking part in the reception programme.
Till the time of filing this story, it is learnt as per the laid out tentative reception programme, from 10 o'clock tonight onwards the Nagas will be proceeding to Indira Gandhi International Airport to receive the NSCN-IM general secretary who will be landing at 11.30 pm.
Th Muivah will be arriving on a KLM flight from the Netherlands capital Amsterdam.
Convenor of the Naga Peoples' Movement For Human Rights (NPMHR), New Delhi chapter T Ningreichon informed Newmai News Network tonight that the reception programme has been arranged under the aegis of Naga Students Union, Delhi.
At the airport, the Nagas gathered there would sing the famous "Feeling of Spirit", a song composed by Dr Wati Aier, founding Principal of Oriental Theological Seminary (OTS) of Dimapur.
Top leaders of the NSCN-IM have flown in to New Delhi from Dimapur since yesterday.
Besides, there are quite a good number of Naga leaders and social workers from Nagaland and Manipur who have also reached New Delhi as late as this evening.
It has not been disclosed as yet where the NSCN-IM leader will be hosted during his short stay in the capital.
Security arrangement has been on the maximum for the NSCN-IM general secretary.
Unofficial reports said that Th Muivah will be meeting top Indian leaders on the Naga issues during his stay in the capital.
It has also been reported that most probably the NSCN-IM chief may come home to Dimapur to celebrate the Christmas.
NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu will not be part of the team this time but it was learnt that the NSCN-IM leader is likely to come to India after the Christmas.
