Imphal, December 20:
Even as the State Government has revived the Die-In-Harness Scheme, the All Manipur Die-In-Harness Appointment Demand Committee (AMDIHADC), while denouncing the condition entailed in the revived policy, has threatened to launch agitation of all sorts.
According to the order issued by the State Government on December 16 under which the Die-In-Harness scheme was revived, only 5 percent of the vacancies in grade III and IV posts should be filled in under the scheme.
In case of grade III post, any appointment under the scheme would be considered only at the lowest level of such post, mentioned the order.
At a press meet today at Manipur Press Club, AMDIHADC president I Maipak said that they would never accept such conditions as it was in total contrast to their long standing demands.
If at all only 5 percent would be recruited against the vacancies lying in the Departments concerned then there must be 30,000 vacant posts for appointment of the 1500 members belonging to AMDIHADC, noted Maipak while denouncing the conditions as impossible.
He further disclosed that AMDIHADC members would not apply for any job under the revived scheme until and unless the conditions are rectified by way of enhancing the 5 percent entry to 50 percent or devise a special scheme so that all the Committee members are appointed at one go.
In case the State Government fails to fulfil the new demands before the election code of conduct comes into force, AMDIHADC would launch various forms agitation including boycotting of all the SPF Ministers.
The Committee also warned with dire consequences to all DDOs of Departments concerned not to initiate any process for recruitment under the revived Die-In-Harness Scheme.
