District level folk cultural festival held

"The Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal is empowering the youths for nation building activities" .
This was stated by Ksh Lemba Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal while inaugurating the district level cultural festival held at the DC Counting Hall, Thoubal today.
The festival was held with the aim of promoting the indigenous folk dances and folk songs among the youths.
In his keynote address Y Laksman Singh, DYC said that it is the duty of every youth of the State to promote the culture by nourishing, learning from our elders, experts and present our talents to internalise the values to every individual.
N Satyavama Devi, District Programme Officer and Th Suhaskumar Singh, District Employment Officer, Thoubal were the president and guest of honour.
H Priyokumar Singh of ZEO, Thoubal, W Rita Devi, guest lecturer, IGNOU and K Lokendro Singh, member DACYP of NYK were the judges of the competition.
Performing Entrancement Arts and Cultural Evolution (PEACE) Thoubal Pakhangkhong; Meihouron Inaat Sintam Shanglen (MISS) Thoubal Haokha and Kairembikhok Students Union and Club, Kairembikhok were adjudged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position winners in the competition.
