73rd Republic Day celebrated across State

BPR/CHD/CCP/KAK/KPI/SPI/TML/TPL/THB/UKL, January 27 2022: As observed across the country, 73rd Republic Day was also celebrated across the state on Wednesday.

BISHNUPUR
District Administration of Bishnupur celebrated the 73rd Republic Day at Mini Secretariat complex in Bishnupur.

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, L Bikram unfurled the National flag and took salute from Bishnupur Civil Police contingent commanded by Sub Inspector, Phaomei Dijuaichung.

Appreciation certificates for distinguished services were presented to 107 officials and staff of the district during the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, L Bikram conveyed his gratitude to Frontline Workers, Health Workers, Covid Task Forces, District Police, DLOs, Executive Officers of Municipal Councils and officials and staff of various Line Departments for their tireless efforts in combating COVID-19 .

He also stated that precautionary doses will be provided to frontline workers, 60 plus population with co-morbidities, police, polling personnel and other personnel on poll duty.

The DC further informed that instructions have come from Election Commission of India that no polling personnel, polling agent and counting agent shall be allowed inside polling stations or counting halls without double dose vaccination.

CHANDEL
73rd Republic Day was also celebrated in Chandel, Mini secretariat, DC complex.

The celebration began with parade inspection and unfurling of the National flag by DC Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar. The parade was commanded by CL Thotrething, MPS.

During the event, District Administration felicitated officers/officials and security personnel of various establishments of the district by awarding certificates of honour.

It may be mentioned that four lady officials from different departments who served as Polling Officers in the last election were also felicitated as an encouragement and recognition of their service.

Besides, Thumli Jeyshing Monsang, first National Football Referee from Chandel was also felicitated.

Churachandpur
District Administration Churachandpur also celebrated 73rd Republic Day at Tuibong Peace Ground, Churachandpur.

Additional DC Churachandpur, Yumnam Nelson unfurled the Tricolor and took salute of the marching contingents which comprised VDF, ASHA workers, ADCC Sanitary workers and 1st IRB Band party.

Priscilla Tuboi, MPS, SDPO Churachandpur was the parade commander.

Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation and awards to 106 outstanding Government employees and March-past contingents; and performance of cultural items marked the occasion.

Kakching
Kakching District Administration also celebrated the 73rd Republic Day at DC office Complex, Kakching with DC Somorjit Salam, IAS unfurling the National flag and taking salute from the contingents.

The DC took salute from the contingents including Manipur Police, Kakching district, Manipur VDF, Kakching district and 37 Assam Rife Band contingents commanded by SDPO Kakching, Konjengbam Geetchandra Singh, MPS.

Altogether 66 persons were accorded with Certificate of Appreciation by the Chief Guest.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Additional DC, Adahrii Maheo.

Kangpokpi
District Administration Kangpokpi also celebrated Republic Day at Kangpokpi District Headquarters with DC Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, unfurling the Tricolor and taking salute from police contingent led by L Sheimang Khongsai, MPS, DSP, Gamnom Sapormeina Police Station.

Presentation of Certificates of appreciation to 27 Government employees for their outstanding performance in their respective fields marked the occasion.

The Programme was attended by SP Kangpokpi, Amrita Sinha, DLOs, JNV students, police officials, staff of various departments and CSO leaders of the district.

SENAPATI
District Administration Senapati also celebrated 73rd Republic Day in the district with AC Senapati, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS taking the guard of honour from the district Police contingent and unfurling the National flag.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Chaudhari highlighted various development works implemented in the district including the construction of Maram-Peren, Tadubi-Tolloi-Ukhrul road, etc.

He also informed about the Single Window Grievance Redressal System which will be operational soon.

During the celebration, District Administration Senapati also presented commendation certificates to outstanding police personnel and officers of various departments.

TAMENGLONG
73rd Republic Day was also celebrated at Jadonang Park, Tamenglong Headquarters by District Administration Tamenglong.

DC Tamenglong, Hungyo Worshang, IAS, unfurled the National flag and took salute from the March-past contingent of Civil Police and 5th MR, Tamenglong.

The District Administration also distributed certificates of appreciation to officers of different departments.

Winners of the National Voters' Day quiz competition were also felicitated.

TENGNOUPAL
District Administration Tengnoupal also celebrated 73rd Republic Day at Tengnoupal Government High School ground with DC Mannuamching, IAS, unfurling the National flag and taking salute from police contingent led by Yumnam Premjit, ASP (Ops), Tengnoupal District Police.

It was attended by Tengnoupal SP, B Golianmang; 20 Assam Rifles Commandant, J Narayanan; former vice chairman ADC Chandel, Tongpao Mate; CMO Tengnoupal, Kh Gojen; village chiefs and officials.

During the programme, certificates of appreciation were presented to outstanding officers of various departments.

Certificates and sports items were also distributed to village chiefs.

THOUBAL
73rd Republic Day was also celebrated at Mini Secretariat Complex, Thoubal with DC Thoubal, A Subhash Singh unfurling the National flag and taking salute from eleven parade contingents of State Police, Home Guards, NCC and students from different schools.

A Khelendra Singh, MPS, DSP Thoubal was the Parade Commander.

Later, meritorious awards were distributed to 56 officials and staff of various departments including police personnel.

Ukhrul
The 73rd Republic Day was also celebrated at Mini Secretariat Office Complex Hamleikhong, Ukhrul with DC Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar, IAS, unfurling the National flag and taking salute from parade contingents led by W Jadumani Singh, SDPO Jessami Block.

During the celebration, District Administration Ukhrul also distributed Appreciation Certificates to 58 officers and staff of various departments.

Five contingents including a 35 AR band party participated in the Republic Day parade.
