Imphal, January 27 2022:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kan-gleipak (PREPAK) has claimed responsibility for the bomb blasts that took place at differ-ent four locations during the 73rd Republic Day celebration on Wednesday.
In a release issued by its Department of Publicity and Propaganda publicity officer Mangal Khuman, PREPAK in-formed that a series of bomb blasts were carried in Hatta Go-lapati near Minuthong (1am), Wangoo Lamkhai (5am), Ka-kching Khunou Uyokthong Makhong (9am) and ICAR Ukhrul Hundung Katibung (10 am) on Wednesday, to spark fear amongst the IOF and also show the outfit's stance and boycott of the celebration.
1Apart from these, IEDs were planted at Pichu Lampak Makha Sapam Leirak, the main road near the entrance of ISOR School and other places in the valley.
However, the IEDs failed to detonate and the IOFs had a lucky escape. The release continued: "The Indian Republic Day celebrations have nothing to do with Kangleipak.
It is impossible for the Indian Government to try to tag the occasion as part of the people of Manipur, to further the scope of indigenisation".Meanwhile, the ambush carried out on March 23, 2021 around 11.30 pm, at an AR Camp located near the Myanmar border in Chandel district was done by 'Operation Eagle' of Red Army.
The outfit then said that the Red Army will continue to carry out attacks on the IOFs whenever opportunity arises as part of its fight for an independent Kangleipak.
Thus, it appealed to the people to maintain a safe distance from IOFs, while adding that the Red Army will sacrifice their lives to restore the independence of Manipur and as such, urged for support from the people.
