1 injured in blast

Imphal, January 17 2015 :
At least one passer-by was wounded when unidentified assailants who reportedly intended to target personnel of 2 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) triggered a hand grenade near a petrol pump at Ngangkha Lawai along Tiddim Road under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district around 1.25 pm on Saturday.
The injured passer-by has been identified as one Yumnam Rajen (45), a resident of Uripok Kangabam Leikai in Imphal West district.
Rajen was driving a red Bolero jeep when he was hit by bomb splinters in the explosion.
He was rushed to RIMS at Lamphelpat for treatment where the doctors declared him to be out of danger.
According to report, the assailants came in a Maruti van and lobbed the grenade towards the personnel of JAK LI who were standing near the oil pump.
