The number of Covid active cases in Manipur has reduced to nine (9) as the number of recovery exceeded fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
At least two women from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi tested positive for the contagion in the last 24 hours while testing 121 samples (test positivity rate 1.7 per cent) and in the same period four persons were discharged after recuperation.
The number of Covid deaths remains unchanged at 2148 as none died due to Covid complications in the last 24 hours.
With this figure, the overall Covid cases in Manipur has risen to 1,39,811 while the recovery cases have increased to 1,37,654 with a recovery rate of 98.46 per cent.
Yesterday, 32 D-type and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different healthcare facilities and in the same period 1844 Covid vaccine doses were administered.
All the 100 Covid beds at RIMS (62) and JNIMS (32) are unoccupied.
The State has fully vaccinated 54.70 per cent of its eligible population while another 62.44 per cent have taken the first dose.
