Imphal, December 12:
The fortnight observation of the Campaign To End Violence Against Women organised by Women Action For Development (WAD) was wrapped up today.
The concluding function was graced by human rights activist Babloo Loitongbam as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Babloo noted that even as there were numerous cases of domestic violence against women, very few cases are known to the public.
Quoting UN sources, Babloo said the violence against women can be categorised into three groups viz, violence against women at State level, at community level and at family level.
Observing that under the armed conflict situation in Manipur, various forms of violence are being committed against women, he cited the case of Naobi.
The observation culminated with a brief presentation of the activities conducted by WAD during the fortnight observation.
