Imphal, April 08:
Reacting to the news report concerning Meira Paibis of Pukhao Iril river bank chasing some alleged KNA cadres forcing the UG cadres to leave behind a 303 rifle, the KNA has refuted the report that the concerned individuals were KNA cadres.
A statement issued by Commander Wing VI of KNO/KNA CL Kuki clarified that the outfit has no knowledge of the incident.
Moreover, there in no 303 rifle in the outfit's arsenal, said CL Kuki.
Demanding clarification with physical evidence to explain as to how the unknown armed men were branded as KNA cadres in the dark of the night, the outfit asked the local Meira Paibis of Pukhao Iril river bank to come to their designated camp to authenticate their claims which badly damaged the over all image of the KNO/KNA.
Declaring that it would not tolerate such baseless allegations any more, KNA warned of capital punishment to any individual/group of all ethnic groups indulging in such malicious propaganda.
