The Manipur Human rights Commission has today asked the DGP to furnish a detailed report on the progress of investigation of the gunning down of a youth namely Moirangthem Meghachandra by unidentified persons on November 8, last year This followed a complaint petition filed by M Ibohal, father of the deceased M Meghachandra of Kumbi Lai Sandhong contending that the Govt has not given any ex gratia amount for the death of his son.
The complaint also alleged that no progress in the investigation has been made nor has any ex-gratia been paid by the Govt The rights panel also asked the Special Secretary (Home) to submit a report as regards the prayer of the complainant It also asked the DC to furnish a reply on the same.
All the replies should be submitted before the Com mission by June 6 the Commission said while listing the matter on June 7 for further proceedings.
