Sprayer pumps, treated bed-nets distributed

Imphal, June 12 2011:
Sustaining his public welfare endeavours social worker N Itomba Meetei in collaboration with volunteers of Keirao Bitra Loumee Lup today provided knap-sack sprayer pumps and chemically treated mosquito nets to Lemba and Ngarangphun villagers today.
The two villages located at the baruni Hills range are among the least under-developed villages under Keirao assembly constituency with their main source of sustenance being agriculture and related activities.
It is said that the villages are prone to outbreak of vector borne diseases and hence taking into account hardships of the local populace, Itomba undertook the task to mitigate their inconveniences to some extent.
While the sprayer pumps were handed over to Lemba village pastor Ngachik and Church clerk Jonathan, one Y Romeo who was part of the item distribution team, upon the locals to exercise wisdom at the time of election if the masses wish to live a compatible livelihood like in other more prosperous assembly constituencies.
Romeo strongly advocated against entertaining pretentious individuals whose concept is to lure the electorates with money and muscle power to remain in power and eventually rob the people's money.
In his brief comment at the occasion, N Itomba pledged to continue working with the people of Keirao to achieve overall development in the coming years.
