BRTF driver injured, vehicles leave Jiri for Imphal

A tipper truck of 765 BRTF turned turtle when it lost control near 11th Mile along NH 37 this afternoon in which the diver suffered serious injuries with broken arm besides multiple injuries.
The driver who has been hospitalised at CHC Jiribam was identified as Ashikunddin (25) of Udharbind of Cachar district in Assam.
Meanwhile, at least 337 goods laden vehicles have left Jiribam for Imphal on Wednesday along NH 37. Being escorted by IRB personnel, the vehicles included 93 trucks of FCI rice, 71 trucks of cement, nine trucks of medicines, eight trucks of wheat, three diesel tankers, two LPG tankers, one truck of Oxygen and other vehicles carrying essential commodities.
