432 fresh cases, 6 deaths reported in last 24 hours; recovery rate shoots up to 90.1 pc

Imphal, June 28 2021:
A sharp drop from the 669 cases detected on June 27, with 432 people returning positive results in the last 24 hours marked the day in Manipur on the Covid map.
The number of deaths on a single day also saw a sharp decline with 6 deaths, down from the 16 reported on June 27 .
The number of tests conducted also saw a sharp decrease from the 5185 samples tested yesterday to 4493 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate was also pegged at 9.6 percent, down from the 12.9 percent recorded the previous day.
Manipur also saw more recovery than new cases in the last 24 hours with 608 persons discharged to the 432 new cases reported.
The recovery rate has improved to 90.10 percent.
All the 432 positive cases came from amongst the general population and out of the total, women accounted for 201 .
The positive cases were detected at RIMS (11), JNIMS (39), District Hospitals (217) and other testing centres (165) .

The 432 positive cases were reported from Imphal East (83), Imphal West (100), Thoubal (85), Bishnupur (49), Kakching (22), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (44), Chandel (4), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (8), Tengnoupal (2) and Kangpokpi (29) .
All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing have been put in place, said a statement issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Six deaths were also reported due to the virus during the last 24 hours.
The deaths were reported from Imphal East (2), Kakching (1), Kangpokpi (1) and Churachandpur (2).The cumulative number of deaths now stands at 1130.Altogether 608 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.
They were from home isolation (291), RIMS (33), JNIMS (7), CCCs (86) and CHICs (191) .
The cumulative number of positive cases now stands at 68,418 (general population-64,597 and Central security personnel-3821) and the total number of recovered cases is 61,646 (general population-57,878 and Central security personnel-3768) .
The number of active cases stands at 5642 (general population-5594 and Central security personnel-48) .
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1446 D-Type Oxygen Cylinders and 445 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State.
The total number of persons vaccinated stands 5,34,103 .
Anyone with oxygen level below 94 percent have been advised to seek medical attention immediately or report to the Covid Care Centre.
