Covid-19 vaccination crosses 80,000

Imphal, March 20 2021:
The total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State so far has reached 80,166 .
The cumulative figure includes 752 inoculated yesterday and 31,056 health care workers, informed a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
On the other hand, three civilians and three personnel of CAPF were tested positive for the virus at RIMS, Imphal and Churachandpur during the last 24 hours.
The civilians belong to Thoubal (1) and Bishnupur (2) .
In the meantime, two COVID-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,332 (general population 25,894 and Central security personnel 3,438) .
This figure includes 28 active cases (general population 23 and Central security personnel 5) and 28,931 recovered cases (general population 25,502 and Central security personnel 3,429) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.63 per cent and the death toll remains unchanged at 373 as there was no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours.
