65,465 inoculated against COVID-19 in State

Imphal, March 06 2021:
As many as 2,816 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday taking the total number of people who have been vaccinated to 65,465 including 30,204 healthcare workers.
Even as the vaccination programme is in full swing, Manipur recorded only two fresh Covid infections while 4 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
With this, the number of active Covid cases is 31 and the total number of positive cases has reached 29,288 .
The number of recovered cases has reached 28,884 with a recovery rate of 98.63 percent.
With zero deaths due to Covid in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains at 373, said a report of the Government COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by Additional Director (Health), Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The two people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours are all female.
They tested positive at testing facilities opened at Imphal West and Shija Hospital.
One of them is from Noney while the other is from Imphal East district, said the report.
Meanwhile, the four persons who have recovered from COVID-19 include 2 who were under home isolation.
The other two have been discharged from JNIMS and SHRI.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases is 29,288 including 25,854 civilians and 3,434 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,884 including 25,455 civilians and 3,429 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 31 including 30 civilians and one Central security personnel, said the report.
