MLA Nemcha Kipgen inaugurates 'Dreamland Turf at Champhai

Kangpokpi, January 30 2021: In a proud moment for the people of Kangpokpi especially football lovers, Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen today inaugurated Dreamland Turf ground at Champhai located between Bongmol and Keithelmanbi in Champhai sub-division in Kangpokpi district.

An initiative of Thangboi Kipgen, founder of Kuki Football Academy (KFA), the Dreamland Turf is unique and one of it's kind in Manipur since.

The local MLA Nemcha Kipgen formally inaugurated the ground by cutting ribbon in the presence of various CSO leaders of the district including Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi, KSO Sadar Hills, Thadou Inpi Kangpokpi, Thadou Students' Association etc.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen appreciated the initiative of bringing up such development in the field of games and sports in her constituency in particular and the district as a whole.

Such a turf ground will bring tremendous changes to the people of the district especially among the football lovers, she continued and extended happiness and appreciation to Thangboi Kipgen and his team for such beautiful ground.

"I am really proud to inaugurate the Dreamland Turf which is the first of its kind in the district and the State", she said while conveying her envision that it will serve as a platform for many football lovers to build their future career.

Thangboi Kipgen said that the materials, mainly the turf, is of world class quality and imported from Germany while the Silica sand was imported from various parts of India.

"The distance between your dream and reality is called action and it is never too late to focus on your dream..

It is proven to us through the ground," pointed out Thangboi Kipgen.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen also inspected players of FC Laileng, Keithelmanbi Veteran and Leimakhong Veteran who played a friendly match to mark the inauguration of the ground.

The turf ground ideal for 7-A-side event will be open day and night.

The charge for utilising the turf for one hour will be Rs 1,500 at night and Rs 1,000 during day time.

Earlier, Rev Khuptinlal Hangshing, Pastor KBC No 4 who attended the function as Dedication Minister dedicated the ground after the MLA inaugurated it and sought blessing from the Almighty.

Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi District expressed profound gratitude to the owner of Dreamland Turf, Thangboi Kipgen for introducing such a world class turf ground in the district.

Kangpokpi Town Committee, FC Laileng and other CSO leaders also appreciated and conveyed gratitude to Dreamland Turf owner.
