Imphal, January 17 2022: X-Polo Club will lock horns with Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CHPC)-A in the final of the 2nd edition of Imphal East District Polo Tournament organised under the auspices of the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association on January 19 .

X-Polo Club cruised 7-5 past CHPC-B today in the first semi-final clash to confirm their place in the final courtesy a treble by P Ojit.

Leishemba opened the scoring to hand X Polo Club a 1-0 first chukker lead before P Ojit scored twice in between CHPC-B goals by M Chaoba and Th Santosh to make it 3-2 till halfway.

CHPC-B, however, surged ahead in the third chukker with Th Manisana and K Yaikhomba striking home a goal each but they could managed only one goal via K Yaikhomba in the final chukker wherein X Polo Club enjoyed a scoring spree with P Ojit completing his treble with a goal, L Atangba scoring twice and Th Jacob adding a single to make it 7-5 .

Later in the other semi-final match, CHPC-A outlasted Ibudhou Marjing Polo Club with a 10-2 thrashing as L Thomson produced a fine scoring performance to pump in 4 goals alone and O Rozer assisted with a treble.

CHPC-A were 2-0 ahead till halfway with H Muhindro and L Thomson adding a goal each in the first chukker and raced ahead to 6-2 lead after L Thomson scored twice and Th Kaoba and O Rozer added a goal apiece in the third chukker.

Both the goals for IMPC were scored by Rajan in this chukker (third) before O Rozer scored twice and Th Kaoba and L Thomson scored a goal each to complete the 10-2 beating of IMPC.
