X-Polo Club, CHPC-B gallop into 2nd IE District Polo Tournament semi-finals

Imphal, January 16 2022: Chingkheihunba Polo Club-B (CHPC-B) set up semi-final date with X-Polo Club in the 2nd Imphal East District Polo Tournament being organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association in collaboration with New Vision Organisation at Yairipok Top Chingtha and Ningthounai Kangjeibung Lampak.

In the first quarter final match of the tournament, X-Polo Club prevailed 12-2 over CHPC-C to book a semi-final ticket riding on goals by L Atangba (4), P Ojit (3), Th Jacob (2), Leishemba Takhelambam (2) and L Kokeshwor (2) .

X-Polo Club took 3-0 lead in the first chukker as Atangba hit twice and Leishemba struck once and went on to take a 8-1 lead at the end of second chukker as L Kokeshwor, Leishemba and Atangba scored a goal apiece and Th Jacob scored both his goals.

N Sadananda scored a goal for CHPC-C in this chukker.

P Ojit scored twice in the third chukker and Atangba and Kokeshwor added a goal each to make it 12-1 in X-Polo Club's favour.

P Ojit then completed his treble in the 6th minute of the final chukker after N Sadananda scored the other goal for CHPC-C in the fourth minute.

Later in the second quarter final match, Th Manisana (5), M Chaoba (4) and Th Santosh (3) scored to give CHPC-B a 12-2 win over Paradise Polo Club.

CHPC-B had a dominant start and were 4-1 ahead in the first chukker as Th Santosh scored twice and K Yaikhomba and M Chaoba added a goal apiece.

K Sanatomba scored the only goal for Paradise PC in this chukker.

Th Santosh then completed his treble in the second chukker before Yaikhomba and Chaoba grabbed their second goals and made it 7-1 for CHPC-B .

The third chukker saw L Rojit scoring the final goal for Paradise PC and M Chaoba scoring his third goal for CHPC-B to make it 8-2.Chaoba then hammered home his fourth goal in the fourth chukker before Yaikhomba took charge of the onslaught and chipped in thrice and completed his haul of 5 goals.

CHPC-B will play X-Polo Club tomorrow in the first semi-final match before IMPC take on CHPC-A in the second semi-final match.
