Imphal, January 16 2022:
Chief spokesperson of BJP State unit Ch Bijoy has claimed that Congress will not be able to field candidates in all 60 seats in the ensuing Assembly election.
The State will go to poll in two phases on February 27 and March 3 .
Speaking to media persons at Nityaipat Chuthek today, Bijoy continued that Congress is now a lost party which is eying to give ticket to BJP intending candidates who cannot obtain the party's ticket.
He also said that the Assembly election will never be free and fair unless the grand old party is abolished.
Refuting the claim that the double engine governance of BJP has failed, Ch Bijoy asked why more and more Congress MLAs have been switching allegiance to the saffron party if Congress considers BJP a failed party.

Bijoy further claimed that Congress MLAs are more intelligent and well-informed than their spokespersons.
The spokesperson also maintained that India under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leading Nation in terms of Covid vaccination.
The vaccination drive of the country began on January 16, 2021 and in a period of one year India has surpassed even the United States by vaccinating over 156 crore people, he maintained.
India has fully vaccinated about 70 percent of its eligible population, Bijoy claimed.
Saying that BJP has succeeded in silencing Congress from doing politics on Covid vaccination, Bijoy accused the grand old party of making people hesitate to get vaccinated.
