Hueiyen Lanpao Impact: Monetary help extended to Sapam Sanamatum

Many individuals and groups including Hueiyen Lanpao Group of Publications have extended monetary help to the family of an ailing child Sapam Sanamatum (7), son of late Sapam Sanatomba of Sapam Laibung Leikai in Thoubal District.
The child is reported to be suffering from an unknown health complication.
The benevolent contributors are Hueiyen Lanpao Group of Publications (Rs 3000); Sorokhaibam Saratchandra of Yaiskul Police Lane, Deputy Director (TI), State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Agriculture Department (Rs 2000); Wahengbam Chandrakumar (MCS), Additional Director, State Academy of Training, Manipur (Rs 3000); Potsangbam Dhanakumar (IPS Retd) (Rs 3000) and Leesana Foundation (Charitable Trust), "Rison Mansion", Sega Road, Dhobi Machu Leirak, Imphal (Rs 2000) .

A total amount of Rs 13,000 was handed over by Hueiyen Lanpao Correspondent Gyanand Naorem to Sanamatum's mother Sapam ongbi Sunita on Saturday.
Nandita Moirangthem of Soibam Leikai Meri Leirak also gave an amount of Rs 1000 to Hueiyen Lanpao office on Saturday evening to be handed over to Sanamatum's family.
It may be mentioned that Hueiyen Lanpao, Manipuri edition, published the exclusive news of the conditions of Sanamatum recently.
The report highlighted the ordeal of the family in trying to avail medical care facility for the child.
Sanamatum's mother Sunita had stated that the land "patta" of their residential house was handed over to Shija Hospital authorities to pay the fees of Sanamatum's treatment.
Reacting to the exclusive report, Managing Director of Shija Hospital Dr Khundongbam Palin showed his compassion by announcing the settlement of the issue.
Dr Palin assured that the hospital authorities will not create any trouble for the family.
It is said that Sanamatum's medical treatment cost over Rs 2.3 lakh.
Over Rs 30,000 was spent only for the medicines but the family paid only Rs 20,000.The Managing Director of Shija Hospital further stated that sometimes patients absconded from the hospital without paying their fees and some even failed to pay even after signing agreements.
Meanwhile, Sapam Sanamatum's mother Sunita has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the benefactors who had extended monetary aid to the family.
She also thanked Hueiyen Lanpao for publishing the story of her son's conditions.
Sunita expressed gratitude to the Managing Director of Shija Hospital for his kind action and prayed for the hospital so that it will continue to serve the people.
