Shishu Nistha Niketan branch inaugurated

Shishu Nistha Niketan, Moirangkampu Sajeb Branch was inaugurated today by Education Minister Th Radheshyam Singh.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Th Radheshyam Singh said that the need of the hour is to produce good and disciplined youth for the welfare of a society.
"Relevant teaching is very much needed in order to allow the students to make right choices which in turn will help in building a healthy society and nation as a whole.
Educating a child is not pressuring them to secure higher marks, speak English fluently but making them to give the knowledge of how to become a good human being," he said.
Hardwork and dedication are important to excel in the field that we have stepped in.
There should not be any difference between private and Government schools when it comes to moulding the future of a student, the Education Minister said and appealed to the teachers to provide quality education to the students.
"Education is a holistic approach.
Education starts from family, then school and environment.
Parents should teach their children first and the teachers should take the responsibili of moulding the students in the school.
Maximum learning can take place only when teachers interact with students in a modest way," he said.
L Susindro Meitei (Yaima), Parliamentary Secretary (Home) also appealed to the school management committe and people residing in the nearby area to work together for the betterment of the school.
He also urged to the management committee to sponsor children belonging to BPL families from Khurai AC as many families of the AC live below the poverty line.
Announcing that he will sponsor children by providing Rs 10,000 to a student, the Parliamentary Secretary also donated Rs 20,000 from the MLA Local Area Development Fund to the school authority.
Vineet Joshi, Principal Secretary (Finance/Power/Higher Education), PK Singh, Commissioner (Health/ Information Technology) and Suranjan Singh Lairenjam, chairman, Shishu Nistha Niketan also attended the inaugural function.
The newly opened branch offers classes from pre-nursery till VII standard which will be upgraded in near future.
As part of the programme, Student Achievers' Award was handed over to the students who brought laurels to the school.
Parents and well wishers were also present at the function.
Shishu Nistha Niketan started as a pre-nursery school 17 years back with only two rooms at Kwakeithel Mayai Koibi.
