Digi-Dhan Mela

With a view to encourage digital payment in the State, a Digi-Dhan Mela would be held at City Convention Centre here on April 2 .
Speaking to media persons at the conference hall of Old Secretariat today, Chief Secretary O Nabakishore said that the mela scheduled at Imphal is a part of similar melas which would be held at 100 cities across the country.
Among others, the mela would be attended by Minister of State (Home) Kiren Rijiju and Minister of State (Railways) Rajen Gohain.
People can avail the facility of linking their bank account numbers with Aadhar numbers at the mela, informed the Chief Secretary.
IT Commissioner PK Singh who was also present at the press meet informed that 30 to 35 stalls including those of banks and mobile phones would be opened at the mela.
Visitors can collect a token from each stall and they can join a lucky draw if they collect five tokens.
The first prize of the lucky draw is a scooty, second prize is LED TV and third prize is RO water filter.
Moreover, there would be five consolation prizes.
A mega lucky draw would be held at the National level on April 14 and the same programme would be telecast across the country, PK Singh added.
