KASC, SCCC, Al-Ameen victorious in MNCA Men's U-23 Tournament

Imphal, May 19 2024:
KASC, SCCC and Al-Ameen notched up wins in Sunday's league matches of the 1st MNCA Mens U-23 Tournament 2023-24.KASC hammered PTCC by 102 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, Thoubal.
Asked to bat, KASC posted 224/9 in 30 overs with contributions from Fm Sharif (69 not out), Washim Akram (43), Md Babu (31) and Muhammad Ali Karim (26) .
For PTCC, Somobanta claimed 4 scalps while Devas Singh Tongbram and Dominic Moirangthem took 2 each, with Andy Mandingbam adding one.
KASC produced a brilliant bowling display to bundle out PTCC for 122 in 22.4 overs for their emphatic win.
Fm Sharif was the chief destroyer for the winning side with 4 wickets.
Both Md Rahis Khan and Mohd Shahir Khan picked up 2 wickets as Md Babu and Afkal Khan tool one each in their victory.
SCCC beat REYS by one wicket at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
SCCC decided to field and skittled out REYS for 91 in 24.2 overs, riding on Rex Waikhom's 4 wickets, Lishan Meitei Khaidem's 3 wickets, and one each by Basant and Syed Hanif.
In their response, SCCC overcame a batting collapse to complete the chase in 26.1 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
Basant (38), Shyam Kumar Ray (30 not out) and Jimmy Oinam (10 not out) were key contributors in SCCC's win.
Reolin Oinam inflicted the major damage on the SCCC batting lineup with 5 scalps, but his efforts were in vain.
Al-Ameen defeated THAU by 11 runs in their meeting at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
Put in to bat, Al-Ameen were dismissed for 127 in 20 overs.
Naeem NA7 (37), Md Sharoz Khan (33) and Md Karim (17) were the main contributors in their innings.
In the process, they lost 3 wickets to Ba-run Ngangom and 2 each to Shinoj Khwairakpam and Khundrakpam Aden.
Al-Ameen then restricted THAU to 116/5 to emerge victorious by 11 runs.
Md Karim, Naeem NA7, Mohd Sagir Ahamed, FM Sakil Ahamed and Boboi-cha Singh Thokchom each claimed one wicket in their triumph.
